From Apprentice to Pro: A Painter’s Story of Craftsmanship and Integrity

A personal story from the owner
I started painting young, 12 years old, when my dad would take me with him to help on painting projects.
I loved the work, asked questions, tried new things, and soaked up as much learning as I could.
My dad started painting professionally in 1995, and I watched him absorb techniques and lessons from seasoned painters.
They shared decades of industry knowledge—from the days of lead paint to the ban in ’78, the rise of oil-based paints in the ’80s, and the wallpaper boom of the ’90s.
Living and learning through decades of paint industry changes taught me to always try new methods, test new technologies, and keep an open mind.
That’s one reason why our Cabinet Finishing System is so much more advanced than a lot of the old-school cabinet painters here in Vegas.
And the reason why we recommend special products for the different exterior substrates here in our harsh Las Vegas desert climate.
Painting became my first love, and I have been doing it ever since. Here in Las Vegas we set ourselves apart from other painters with our attention to details and our customer service.
As a kid I absorbed sayings and anecdotes from older painters. One quote in particular I heard from a mentor who taught my dad, and then my dad repeated it to all of his employees:
The difference between a “good” painter and a GREAT painter, is that the GREAT painter always checks back over his work.
It’s the understanding that we will never be perfect, but if we are able to find our own mistakes, take ownership over them, learn from them, and ultimately fix the mistakes, then we can provide GREAT craftsmanship.
This attitude influences all of our Core Values today: Service, Integrity, Craftsmanship, Ownership.
Whether you have an exterior painting project, and interior painting project, cabinet painting, or a pool deck that needs a coating, we are going to treat each job as an opportunity to perform GREAT painting.
